I was a bit bummed the jacuzzi was broken. But the pool was nice. The hotel staff was awesome. So friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a great location, but it’s dated. It needs a refresh. It was clean, but not crisp like we would want a hotel to be. The pool was great though. Kids loved the slide.

The hotel room that we stayed in had a fabulous view but was in the older , dated ,part of the resort ( we were offered a choice of 2 rooms on arrival, one newer but with a partial sea view and the older room with a great view)
The restaurant at the front was very expensive and the food below average. One day we ordered food at the adult pool bar and was served 7 very small potato wedges with a dip for $11 who pays that for 7 chips!

The room was older and had a few maintenance issues. The bed was very comfortable. The setting in the rain forest was really cool. We saw monkeys from our balcony. We had a nice view. The staff was great.

This is a lovely hotel, but it has its quirks. The food was uneven. I had a salad with old wrinkly tomatoes and another that that had smoked trout, not fresh, as described. The breakfast menu is very limited and confusing. Pancakes aren't listed as an option but then I saw them making them and we could get them, which made me wonder what else would they make that was't listed. The bathroom in our room had no ventilation, which means nothing dries in there. We had a room at the lobby level, so we heard a lot of road traffic. Also, there is really nothing within safe walking distance with the way the sidewalks end. It would have been nice to explore the area on foot a bit more, but with kids it didn't seem safe to walk on the side of the road given the driving culture. The kids loved it, though. There is a small movie theater you can reserve. They have hundreds of DVD's or you can log in to Netflix. That was a lot of fun with kids. The waterslide was a big hit. The view is incredible and the local iguanas and monkeys were very entertaining. This hotel had a wedding event the day we were leaving and one restaurant was closed Friday night because of it and then one of the pools was closed all of Saturday. I was glad we were leaving Saturday so we didn't have to deal with the inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though. We would probably not stay here again because we would avoid the Manuel Antonio region in general next trip. It's very touristy and expensive compared to the other places we visited.

We expected more from this hotel. The reception staff was OK but not particularly attentive. The hotel has a lot of stairs and it feels like being in a labyrinth. Common areas are nice but our room (which had a very nice view) was outdated (furniture, decor, etc). Breakfast was not very good. Limited choice of food, just a few not so good pastries and fruits (breakfast was fantastic in the other two hotels). Dinner at the same restaurant was very good

We were disappointed in this resort some because it does not look like the video they show on the website. It facilities were rundown, the beds were not comfortable. The staff was nice but not like our previous report. We did not really like the restaurants but there are several within walking distance. The best part about this resort is the location. It is close to the beach (they do not offer transportation to the beach as we were told). The taxi ride is short and once at the beach there are several restaurants and shops. This would not be my top choice for a resort next time.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were clean and convenient, the hotel grounds were AMAZING and the food was out of this world!!! We didn't want to eat anywhere else in the town.

This was our family's favorite hotel of the trip! Small enough to feel quaint, but large enough to have two restaurants and two pools! The room was great and the view stunning!!!

The hotel is a little outdated. The shower mildew and loose faucets. But the property was beautiful and the staff was amazing! Best service I’ve ever had. It was definitely a family resort. We felt at home and comfortable at the pool and swim up bar. The servers took time to get to know us and were very friendly.

We loved this hotel! The pool and slide are a blast. The views are amazing as well as the food and drinks by pool bar. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! We had a safe and early check in, and had to check out at 4am which they had security ready and waiting for us to assist and even provided breakfast for the road.

Old hotel. Great views. Our room balcony was close to the restaurant and we could get all the smell and noise which wasn't pleasant. There are two restaurants. The seafood restaurant is pretty good but I found the other one which also serves breakfast as rather disappointing. Reception staff were very nice. Also great that there was a shuttle to and from the beach.

Staff very friendly, great views of the sea. The beach is a 25 minute walk away but there is a shuttle down to the crowded part of the beach. They have a butterfly cage across the road which is worth a visit.

The staff was awesome, and the hotel location was beautiful with close access to nearby shops and restaurants. This resort lacked a bit in fit and finish compared to Arenal Springs, but the friendly staff, convenient location, and beautiful views made it well worth the stay here.

The room looked a little run down/outdated and like it needed a little TLC. The painting hanging on the wall was peeling and hanging down from the frame. The lock on the sliding patio door was falling off and there were huge gaps around the main door frame, so lots of light came in at night. Overall not a bad experience, but I would probably not stay here again.

This hotel is out dated. Keys for hotel rooms??? Not a lot of outlets. Our room was low on property and we had barely a view of ocean. Music from neighboring hotel was problematic for special needs son. Staff very accommodating, friendly, went above and beyond to see to our comfort.

We paid extra for this hotel and we were disappointed. We were given a room overlooking the lobby and asked to move which they accommodated. The beds were not made properly and the new room was very far away from the lobby. They offered a shuttle from the hotel to the beach but it ran on an extremely limited schedule including not running from 11am to 3 pm the hottest time of the day which someone would probably want to go back to the room like myself. Instead I had to pay for a cab.

Beautiful! The staff was so attentive and friendly from the front desk to the servers in the restaurant. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The food was excellent. We ate at both restaurants most nights, even though there were other good places in walking distance. This place was a gem.

This was a nice and comfortable hotel. Typically the staff was on point except for our experience with them breaking down an event over our room after midnight. Judging from what we say on our travels - we felt fortunate to stay in what looked like the nicest available hotel in the area.

The hotel was again, beautiful and we loved the view from our room. The staff was wonderful and the air conditioning worked very well. We loved the on-site restaurant. The hotel did have a private movie theater but they planned only PG-rated movies at 8:00 It would have been better for the guests if two movies were offered; a kid movie at 7:00 and a PG-13 movie at 9:00. There were quite a few adults without children watching Wall-E because sunset was fairly early and there was little to do at night on-site.

This is a really nice resort. We had a breath taking view of the ocean. The bird watching from the balcony in the morning was fantastic. The staff was incredibly attentive whenever we needed anything. A great place for families to stay in Manuel Antonio.

The views are amazing. The resort feels super premium and the pool was a great place to relax. The staff was very friendly and they offer a free shuttle to the beach, which was a pleasant surprise. The morning breakfast view was the best we had the entire vacation. The two restaurants offered great food and quick bites in the pool bar. We would have loved to extend our stay.
