Kind of rustic and the main bed was not comfortable, but we were fine in the two adjacent singles. The ceiling fan was very useful, but the chain to control it was too high to reach. Was able to use our trekking poles to pull on it, so all good. Would have been nice to be warned of the long trip down and back up to get to the Las Pailas entrance to Rincon de la Vieja, but it turned out not to be a big problem. Best restaurant at Buena Vista was El Mirador.

Staff much less welcoming and happy than in Arenal or the tour guides. But we loved the horse ride to the spa...
