Perfect for first timers and fun for the family, this full day rafting expedition is on the Rio Savegre, one of the best whitewater rafting rivers in Costa Rica. Your day will begin with a ride on a 4 x 4 through the rain forest following the Savegre River before arriving at the thatched roof pueblo of Silencio where you will stop for breakfast. After breakfast, you will want to put in your lunch order so that arrangements for your lunch will be in place for your return. Your guide and safety kayaker will go over all safety lessons and instructions while you board your rafts. You will be gradually introduced to Class II through Class IV rapids as your experienced guide safely helps you navigate these waters. There will be stops for swimming along the way as well as visiting waterfalls. Birding enthusiasts will appreciate the abundant species living in this area including parrots, toucans, ospreys, egrets, cormorants and kingfishers. The Rio Savegre is a perfect river for first timers or anybody that wants to experience the thrill of whitewater rafting without extreme rapids. This adventurous fun filled day includes round trip transportation, trained experienced whitewater rafting guides, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and all rafting equipment. Transportation times vary depending on distance hotel is from Manuel Antonio, from 15 minutes up to one and half hours. Appropriate for children over 8 years old and adults who are relatively fit for using a paddle.
