The Sky Tram and Sky Walk tour is an amazing way to observe the canopy of the rainforest. Imagine gliding through the treetops on a gondola and then walking through the trails and canopy bridges on the Sky Walk tour!
After being picked up from your local area hotel, you will drive around Arenal Volcano and then on to the Sky Adventures facilities. The views to Arenal Volcano can be spectacular on clear days.
When you arrive at Sky, you will be paired up with a naturalist guide. You will then take a gondola style tram ride through the rainforest canopy up the mountain. Along the way your guide will point out the flora and fauna as well as tell you about the natural history of the area. When you reach the top you can walk along a short trail in search of wildlife or simply take in the views. After a little while you will take the tram back down to the base.
The Sky Walk adventure is next on the list. Your guide will accompany you and lead the way through groomed jungle trails in search of wildlife and discovery. The trail is 3.6 kilometers or 2.2 miles long over uneven terrain. There are five suspension bridges along the way allowing you a firsthand view into the canopy where 90 percent of all life lives in the rainforest. In addition to wildlife, your guide will also tell you about the natural history of the area and show you two jungle waterfalls from an observation platform.
After the tour you will be returned to your hotel. Including round trip transfers the tour is expected to last 4 – 6 hours, though this is subject to change. This is a great tour for anybody interested in learning about the rainforest canopy and wildlife that inhabits it.
Important: Guests must present a valid document or photo verifying the age of children upon entering the park.

The guide was very good an knowledgable. The last "leg" of the tour was a little bit rushed, as we went so slow in the beginning. I got quite winded and tired at the end.

Our guide, Marco was excellent. His English was excellent. We were not up to another hike that morning but did take the Sky Tram to the top of the mountain and watched the people zip line.

The on-site personnel were not particularly organized and definitely didn't explain what was happening, where to go, and how long to wait. The guide (Marco) was very friendly but unable to lead a group. He was more interested in chatting with individuals (in or outside of our group) than showing our group what we were seeing. On the narrow winding paths, it was almost impossible to hear him or see what he was pointing to up at the front of the line. We asked him to stay in the middle of the group and talk louder, but he just smiled and ignored us. We finally left the group and walked back over the hanging bridges. That part of the walk was SPECTACULAR. It was even better because we had the area all to ourselves and could take photos without shaking the bridges. So overall it was a fantastic experience.

Since we were doing the tram only there was a lot of wait on this tour.

The Sky Walk was great - about 2 hour hike with an excellent guide, beautiful hanging bridges and great scenery. The Sky Tram was honestly a waste of time. You have to take the tram to get to the ziplines, I wish I had known and I would have done that combined with the hike, but overall I had a good time.

Sky walk was exceptional - guide was very educational and passionate about his tour. He made every effort to adjust to a multi-language group.
