This amazing canopy tour is an aerial expedition over the jungle that is located where the dry forest of the northern Pacific transitions into the southern Pacific rainforest. It is in the central valley of Costa Rica just north of the popular Jaco Beach. This adrenaline pumping adventure will have you sailing over the forest canopy enjoying nature without damage to the environment.
Your tour begins with transportation from your hotel to the Vista Los Suenos Welcome Center where you will board a 40 passenger tractor that will take you on a 15 minute trip up the mountain to the first platform.
Before you begin, the professional guides will fit you with a safety harness, helmet, and gloves. They will explain all safety and operating procedures while preparing you for roughly 2 hours of thrills.
You will sail over the forest canopy between 14 platforms and along 10 cables offering you over 2 miles of extreme fun! There will be a guide at each platform to assist you with landings and connections to the next cable. The last 3 cables are suspended between giant Costa Rican Ceiba trees.
Vista Los Suenos, loosely translated as “View of Dreams”, is an 80-acre property with over half the land supporting native jungle. Ziplining a hundred feet in the air offers amazing views of the Pacific coastline and outlying islands.
This tropical setting is home to rare and beautiful wildlife like Toucans, White-Face and Howler monkeys, as well as the colorful scarlet Macaws. Your guide is an expert in the local inhabitants of the forest and can help identify many species of animals living here. You will have a perfect bird’s eye view of these beautiful creatures as you sail over their native playground.
This adventure includes transportation from your hotel in Jaco, Herradura, and Puntarenas. Bilingual certified guides will help you every step of the way. At the end of the tour, you will be served fresh fruit and bottled water.
One-way transportation from your hotel can take 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on where you are staying. The total time for this tour, including round-trip transit to your hotel, is typically between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.
Please wear comfortable clothing and fully enclosed shoes. Bring your camera, binoculars, rain gear, insect repellent, and sunscreen. You will have the option to record your experience with your own camera, like a Go Pro, that clips onto your helmet, or you can choose to purchase the picture taken of you on cable #6 if you like.
