Canyoning and Waterfall Rappelling - Xtreme Tours

Get ready for an incredible adventure. Imagine scrambling through the rainforest and rappelling down waterfalls in the middle of the jungle!

After being picked up from your Manuel Antonio area hotel a transfer will be provided to the nearby mountains. A fun, but bumpy 4x4 ride through local villages and the jungle will take you back to the Xtreme Adventures facilities. When you arrive your guide will suit you up with the latest safety gear and then provide a brief instructional and safety course.

This thrilling adventure is located in one of the most biologically rich regions of Central America. While this is an adventure tour, you may have the possibility to see wildlife such as sloths, toucans, monkeys, iguanas, poison dart frogs and more.  We say may as the entire focus of the tour is on adventure, but keep your eyes peeled as you may be able to enhance your experience!

The thrilling Xtreme Tours Canyoning course includes two waterfalls, a 416 foot suspension bridge, and a couple of natural pools. You will rappel down both waterfalls. One is 115 feet high and the other is 180 feet! You will also do straight rappels of 82 feet and another off the suspension bridge of nearly 200 feet! Then to top it all off, you will have the chance to free fall into a natural pool.

Of course, this is a canyoning tour, so you should expect some hiking through the forest and scrambling through the stream bed. While it is a physical activity, the majority of your weight will be transferred to the specialized equipment. Your guide will also have a secondary line for safety. No experience is necessary for this awesome tour, but you should bring along a good sense of adventure and keep in mind that this is not a tour for those that fear heights!

After the adventure you will be provided with a full Costa Rican style lunch. You will have time to reflect on the experience and talk about it with your fellow adventurers.

Following this amazing day, you will be returned to your local hotel. Including round trip transfers, the tour is expected to last around 5.5 hours, though this is subject to change due to the nature of the activity. This thrilling half day adventure includes transportation, guide, and meal.
