If you are looking for a fun and relaxing way to take in the beautiful Manuel Antonio coast, the Ocean King Catamaran Cruise is the perfect activity for you!

The day starts off with a transfer from your local Manuel Antonio area hotel to the Quepos Pez Vela Marina where the boat is docked. This is a short drive and you will likely pick up some other travelers as well.

The Ocean King is a 100 foot long catamaran style boat that is outfitted for some serious fun in the sun! The main area has space for up to 100 people and the second deck has room for another 150 people. The boat offers two huge trampolines, two Jacuzzis, two winding water slides, an enormous bar, living room, and four bathrooms and four showers.

The cruise will take you along the gorgeous Manuel Antonio coast. You will pass by rolling green jungle covered hillsides that disappear into the sea, tropical islands and all around beautiful scenery. Eventually you will reach Playa Biesanz where the boat will stop for a break. You will be able to swim and water slide off the boat. Snorkeling gear will be provided to those that wish to do so. Manuel Antonio is not the best place to snorkel, but you may be able to see some tropical fish.

As the boat travels along, keep a lookout for marine life. During the green season you may be able to see whales or sea turtles. Dolphins are around most of the year and will often cruise along with the boat.

While you may see some wildlife, the main attraction is fun and relaxation. The Ocean King provides a Costa Rican style lunch. You will also have access to fruits, snacks, and Costa Rican brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

After returning to the marina you will be returned to your hotel. Including transfers, the cruise is expected to last around four hours for those staying in Manuel Antonio and longer for those staying in other locations. This is subject to change due to the nature of the tour. This relaxing tour includes transportation, drinks, lunch and snacks.

From transfer to getting checked in, everything was very clear. The guide was so enthusiastic and energetic. He was passionate about making sure everyone had fun and got to see dolphins and was honest that if you snorkeled you prob wouldn't see fish bc of the rain. We appreciated everything he did. The swim was fun. The food was very good. The drinks were good. We saw so many dolphins, and the up-close views of the little islands were incredible. I was surprised the chairs were so worn and uncomfortable. I thought it would be more comfortable to lounge and a little more updated. But we had a great time!

We were slightly disappointed in this trip. It is mostly a boat ride with very little time in the water. We were hoping to have more time to relax, swim, snorkel. The food was ok but a 4 drink limit needs to be communicated. The hot tubs were tiny. Overall, we would not repeat this excursion.

The cruise was enjoyable and it was great to see the sunset from the water. Logistics probably took longer than needed, having to drive to multiple hotels, then to Quepos to register everyone, then to the marina. I think if people were most interested in snorkeling I would recommend a different excursion. That part was short and crowded, with little chance to see anything in the water. However, we really did have a good time.
