Overview

This half day snorkeling adventure aboard a 30 foot boat will cruise the beautiful reef filled waters adjacent to the Manuel Antonio National Park and is sure to please. Round trip transportation from your hotel in Manuel Antonio is included.

You will start by taking a short wooded hike of approximately 250 meters where you may see squirrel monkeys, white face monkeys or sloths before suddenly arriving at a beautiful white sand hidden beach.

The experienced licensed boat captain will help you aboard at the pier and go over all safety instructions. As this tour is open to people over 6 years old and up whether beginners or advanced, those who have had little or no snorkeling experience will be taught the basics by highly trained, bilingual crew members.

You’ll then begin following the coastline until arriving at Playa Biesanz (aka Biesanz Beach) where you will snorkel for approximately 1 ½ hours in an area renown for its volcanic rock formations hosting a vast variety of marine life and tropical fish.

After snorkeling you’ll take a break to relax and enjoy freshly chilled fruit served by the crew who will also provide you with plenty of cold water throughout the tour.

The journey continues as your captain will be looking for another snorkeling site offering a different variety of species where you will be able to snorkel again for about 30 minutes more. Some of the marine life that abounds in this rock and coral environment in addition to the many species of tropical reef fish include: puffer fish, sea urchins, tangs and moray eels.

Often there are sea turtle or dolphin sightings and twice a year the humpback whales frequent this area on the way to their mating grounds nearby. You surely will have been inspired by Nature’s beauty upon your return.

This was a much better experience than we thought it would be. The snorkeling was good and fun, seeing a humpback whale and see turtle was great. Well worth the cost!

We had a great time, and our guide made the most of our experience and continuously dove to the bottom to show us more marine life. The boat ride was beautiful too.

The water was quite cloudy and rough, so we couldn't see that many fish

relaxing day on the water. Snorkelling isn't that great in the area and we knew that, so it was what we expected. Fruit was a nice touch and taxi very accommodating to our change in plans.

The water was cloudy and we didn't see too much variety of sea creatures.

The year previous we had gone snorkling with a different company, larger boat, excellent lunch of grilled chicken and shrimp was served. Yet we preferred this year's experience because smaller boat = fewer people, the boat stopped at two locations for snorkling stayed nearly an hour at one and half hour at the other compared with last year where the boat made one snorkling stop which lasted about 40 minutes, and the "guide" stayed in the water with us and brought up interesting shells from the bottom.

Due to the weather we didn't get in much snorkeling but the time we were there the guide was finding us all kinds of creatures to see that we would not have seen if not for the guide. Great trip.

With the begining of the rainy season the water was pretty cloudy.

We loved the small group experience
