The South Pacific coast of Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. This is the least visited region as there are no large resorts due to the protected wildlife reserves and maritime zone laws. This equates to vast expanses of rainforest and plenty of wildlife. Dominical and Uvita are coastal villages located north of the peninsula with eco-boutique style hotels and small resorts. The Osa Peninsula, particularly Drake Bay, is known for all-inclusive eco-style bungalow resorts which cater to visitors to Corcovado National Park and Cano Island.
