The adventure begins when you arrive at the San Jose Airport. A Pacific Trade Winds representative will be waiting for you and then we’ll provide a private transfer through the mountains and countryside to the village of La Fortuna at the foot of Arenal Volcano. This is one of the most beautiful rainforest regions in Costa Rica and also an ecotourist’s paradise.

You’ll stay at the popular eco-resort, Arenal Manoa Hotel, which offers hot spring-fed pools, personal service, and incredible volcano views. The next day, you’ll go on a guided trip to see the magnificent La Fortuna Waterfalls, where you can either observe from various platforms or hike all the way down to the base of the falls. On your third day, you’ll have a choice of going either on a high-speed Canopy Zipline Adventure OR on a guided nature hike over the Arenal Hanging Bridges.

The next day you’ll be on your way to the Southern Caribbean coast by land transfer. You’ll stay at the stylish Hotel Le Cameleon, which is across the street from one of the prettiest beaches in Costa Rica! The next two days will be full of ME TIME, for you to relax and play along the gorgeous Caribbean seashore while enjoying the area’s famous reggae vibe.

After a few days on the Caribbean, we’ll provide a transfer back to San Jose, where you’ll spend your final night at the Park Inn by Radisson. The next day, a transfer will take you back to the airport according to your individual flight schedule.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to Arenal Volcano!

We’ll meet you at San Jose Airport and provide a private transfer to the Arenal Manoa Hotel in La Fortuna near the iconic Arenal Volcano.

Day 2: La Fortuna Waterfalls Tour (B)

You’ll go on a guided visit to the spectacular La Fortuna Waterfalls. Whether you choose to take in the beauty from an observation platform or hike down to the base, this is sure to be a memorable highlight of your trip! Be sure to indulge in the hotel’s hot springs pools after your tour!

Day 3: Choice: Canopy Hanging Bridges or Zipline (B)

Today you can choose either a nature or adventure tour. The Canopy Hanging Bridges nature tour includes a naturalist guide who will take you hiking across the rainforest on suspended bridges looking at wildlife. The Canopy Zipline tour is a must for any spirited adventurer visiting Costa Rica!

Day 4: Transfer to the Southern Caribbean (B)

A transfer will be provided through the Costa Rican countryside, then down the Caribbean coast just past the town of Puerto Viejo. Here you’ll stay at the Hotel Le Cameleon directly across from the beach.

Days 5 & 6: Beach Days (B)

These two days are your ME TIME to soak in the sun and explore the gorgeous beaches of the Southern Caribbean. Be sure to set aside time to visit the nearby town of Puerto Viejo to experience the laid back reggae culture and spicy cuisine. If you would like to add on tours, we are always ready to assist.

Day 7: Transfer to San Jose (B)

Transportation will be provided to the Park Inn by Radisson in San Jose, where you’ll spend your last night in Costa Rica.
